Sales & Transport Assistant

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Sales & Transport assistant to join our friendly team and help to ensure the smooth running of a busy fast paced office.

Our offices can be extremely busy, so it is imperative that you are well organised, and able to cope under pressure, whilst always maintaining a friendly manner for customers and colleagues alike.

Duties to include: collating and processing orders to create and send invoices, answering the phone, taking bookings, processing payments, responding to emails, general administration, and liaising with drivers, yard staff and suppliers.

The ideal candidate will need excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, and be confident with a proactive, positive attitude – keen to learn all aspects of this thriving industry, which can include sales & marketing, accounts, transport, and compliance.

Hours and salary to be negotiated, commensurate on experience (will consider full or part time)

Business Development Representative

We’re looking for an outgoing sales focused person to maintain and grow our customer portfolio.

This position will be mainly office based, with the opportunity to progress to field sales – promoting our services in and around the Chichester, Bognor and Littlehampton area:

  • Waste Collection and Recycling Services utilising a fleet of Skip, Roro, Grab and Tipper trucks
  • Third Party Tipping at our own Licenced Recycling Facility, just between Chichester and Bognor
  • Supply and distribution of Primary and Recycled Aggregates – offering a range of delivery methods (loose, bagged etc), as well as collections from our depots in Bognor and Littlehampton

Our customers range from individual householders, small builders and landscapers, through to major housing developers and civil engineers – so you’ll be dealing with a wide variety of clients, and as such will need to have excellent adaptable communication skills.

Experience in the waste and/or aggregate industry is essential for this role, as is a full clean driving licence, local geographical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the necessity to be able to demonstrate a positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude.

Salary is negotiable, depending on experience – a great basic, with potential to earn more based on your business development.

HGV Drivers – Class II 

Recycle Southern are looking for full time HGV Drivers working from our Bognor and Littlehampton Depots.

Class 2 (Cat C):

  • Skip Loaders
  • Grab Lorries
  • Hooklift Roros

Immediate start available.

Applicants MUST have relevant licence HGV Class 2, with current driver CPC and digital tacho card.

Experience in the waste / aggregate industry is desirable, though training can be given to the right candidates.

Monday to Friday, and occasional Saturdays on Rota. PPE/Uniform will be provided.

Good rates of pay, depending on experience.

HGV Drivers – Casual / Self Employed

If you’re seeking casual HGV Class II driver work, we’re keen to hear from you!

You would need to have experience in driving any / all of the following : skip lorries, grab lorries, tippers, hooklift, road sweepers.

A positive, flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn is essential.  You must possess a clean licence, minimum HGV Class 2 / Cat C, along with current Driver CPC, and Digital Tacho Card.

Machine Operators – Casual / Self Employed

If you’re seeking casual Machine Operative work, we’re keen to hear from you!

Applicants should have proven recent experience (with Certification) in a Waste Recycling or Construction Environment, operating all or some of the following : 360 Excavators (up to 25te); Wheeled Elevating Excavators; Loading Shovels; Dumpers (up to 10te).

Reliability, with a positive, flexible attitude, and an active awareness of Health and Safety is paramount.
