What Can I Put In My Skip?

We can accept most non-hazardous waste in our skips, (ie furniture, garden waste, toys, brick-a-brac, clothes, builders waste, to name just a few). 

There are a few exceptions – some of which we are unable to accept, and some we can, but with an additional charge (please ensure you notify us at time of booking, or prior to collection).

Mattresses – £30.00+VAT per unit.

Domestic Fridges / Freezers / Air Con Units – £45.00+VAT per unit

Commercial Fridges / Freezers / Air Con Units – POA

Tyres – £10.00+VAT per unit

Digger Tracks / Rubber Matting – POA

TV’s / Monitors / Computer Screens – £25.00+VAT per unit

Food Waste – Not Acceptable

Paint – Not Acceptable (though we can take old paint tins if they are solid / dried out)

Liquids – ie Chemicals/fuels/solvents/cleaning fluids/oils – Not Acceptable

Fireworks / Explosives – Not Acceptable

Batteries – Not Acceptable – Please also ensure that all batteries re removed from any items – ie toys etc

Plasterboard – A small amount only can be taken in a mixed waste skip, but must be bagged, and easy for our operatives to separate from the rest of the waste. Please ensure you notify the office if you wish to place any in the skip. If you have a larger amount, you will need a dedicated collection for this material, which we can supply a skip or bulk bag for.

Asbestos / Fibreboard – Not Acceptable

Corrugated Roofing Sheets – Not Acceptable

Gas Bottles / Canisters – Not acceptable (even if empty)

Clinical / Medical Waste – Not Acceptable

Fluorescent Tubes – Not Acceptable
